Favorite Things Party

Favorite Things Party. Year two. Take two.
Loads of really delicious food and drink enjoyed al fresco in perfect weather.
Dozens of really fabulous new (to me) ideas.
Laughing and talking for nearly four hours with some of the best women I know.
And piles of presents for all.
This is most definitely my idea of a perfect night.
A menu of favorites:
Pork Carnitas, corn tortillas, fresh limes, cilantro, pico de gallo, and sour cream.
The sweetest corn on the cob we've had all year.
Watermelon, feta, and mint salad dressed with a balsamic reduction.
Icy cold blackberry peach fizz.
And for dessert? Ripe berries filled with cheesecake and strawberry frozen yogurt.
Every bite was delectable!
I'm so glad after talking about this for a while that we finally made it happen.

The favorite things included:
- yummy smelling method cleaning products
- great running socks
- yummy Biscoff Spread
- handy kitchen gadgets
- beautiful turquoise jewelry
- great brand of bobby pins
- popsicle molds with some favorite popsicle recipes
And some of my favorite reactions of the night are included below.
It was pretty exciting up in here last night!

Encore next year for sure!

Favorite Things Party

A throwback to that lovely time when spring meant having an outdoor favorite things party with friends.
Can everyone please move back here so we can make this happen again?
I collected some of my favorite ideas from this day and that delightful conversation that went on for hours!
Also, that food! So delicious, every bite.

Baby Shower of my Dreams

Minted is a delightful online paper goods store.
I love almost everything they do.
And I used their website to create what would be my dream baby shower.
It would be a couples shower gender reveal dinner party.
Italian food, of course.
And a delicious cake to cut into with it's color announcing the gender to all.
Simple invites, simple colors (green & white - how perfect, right?), and simple fare.
But basically just an excuse for a fun night with friends and family to celebrate an upcoming little one.
A lovely sit down dinner with amazing food and friends, giving us all a chance to really connect, and really talk, and really celebrate little ones upcoming arrival in an intimate and casual way.
Maybe someday.
But for now this is just in the hopes of winning a little contest they are hosting.
My fingers are crossed really hard, because, like I said, I love almost everything they do!!
And I really need want need some custom stationary.
Wish me luck.

Swiss Fondue Party

It was inevitable really, that this should be on our Christmas party menu this year.
Because what better alternative to the cheaply made typical souvenirs than dipping stuff in hot, stringy cheese and warm, melty chocolate?
It was such a fun way to bring a bit of Switzerland back with us for our friends (who feel more like family) to try!

And the aftermath.
