when ryan and i were dating we spent
september 11 at a traveling memorial displayed in slc.
a large field holding a flag to represent each person that died.
and on each flag a tag with personal information about the individual.
name.
birthdate.
occupation.
family.
it made it all feel very heartbreakingly real for us.
and not just something that happened.
we're thinking of all those people again today.
and especially of their families.
the ones they left behind.
