yup, that's what we've been repeatedly saying throughout this last season of lost.
there have been too many long shots and not enough connections in my opinion.
regardless, we celebrated it's finale in high island style last night.
{a la hurley's homecoming party, not so much after actual island living}
the menu:
drink - pina coladas
main course - coconut rice & teriyaki shish-kabobs
dessert - cinnamon tres leches
and although there were a lot of loose ends left hanging,
this final episode made me feel pretty content, and even happy.
we were thoroughly entertained.
and we just loved watching the final episode with these two.
YAY! We loved watching it with you guys, too. We miss our Reigs. :) Plus, the food was DELICIOUS. Mmmmm... And I have to say that I wasn't as content with the ending. But what else were they going to do, I guess? I dunno. Eerily similar to Harry Potter I still say... Ba ha ha. Anyway, thanks again for going the distance to come see us!!!
ReplyDeletegreat photos!! haven't ever seen lost, but the food looks good.
ReplyDeleteI have never watched Lost either, but I would have loved to come to your party! The food looks so yummy, and the pictures of it are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAlso, your trip to San Fran looks like so much fun! I love that you documented it so well. You should come back, there is so much more to do and see! :)
Your Lost party looks way better than mine was! I watched it by myself, as Dave fell asleep after the first 1/2 hour. I wasn't going to give up that easily - too many questions left unanswered! I'm still not sure what I think of the whole thing... I was also content after, but still left wondering many things. I guess that's how it goes though!
ReplyDeletei know mind, too much left unexplained in the end huh? but we'll have to find a new addicting show to get hooked on to plan our theme parties around. :)
ReplyDeleteand thanks brooke, i had a great teacher! {although i'm still way amateur, i'll be hitting you up with questions for years to come i am sure.}
oh sarah, lost is addicting, so proceed with caution! we would have loved to have you join us, the food was delicious! we'll have to visit you next time we're in san fran and you can show us the hot spots. :)
and lyndsey, my theory is that they ended that way {with happy music and tearful reunion} just so we'd all be distracted and feel good and never question all those mysteries they never got around to answering!

ReplyDeleteI use to be a huge lost fan in the first couple of seasons and started to miss more and more episodes until this last one, i have watched most of them. I found the link above that had an interesting summary for those with more questions.
Hope you enjoy:)
