"you find something you love, and you twist it and torture it and try to make money at it. and at the end, you can't find a trace of what you started out loving."
this is the quote from hope floats that haunts me
every time i think about turning a passion into a career.
i think it has merit.
some things, i believe, should be kept as just a passion.
but then there is this quote:
"i work hard at what i love so i don't have to work hard at something i don't love."
{i can't remember where i heard this one}
i think this too has merit.
and that if you're going to work hard, it may as well be at something you love.
besides, i think we choose to love more than we tend to believe.
but i'm still not convinced either way.
and i'm not sure which school of thought i am of.
thoughts?
