When (it seems) there is no food in the house, and we have nothing planned for dinner,
we tend to get really creative with our meals.
Frozen pie crust? I can definitely work with that.
An onion? perfect! Especially caramelized!
Fresh mozzarella? Always delicious!
Tomatoes? Yes please!!
And pesto? Absolutely necessary!
Topped with some freshly ground pepper (and a pile of pesto -- not pictured here)
and this was pretty much dinner perfection!
And so fast - which is not even remotely negotiable when we both get home at 7:30 p.m.
Dinner has to take less than 15 minutes, otherwise we just give up and grab something on the go.
That looks like an awesome quick dinner! Fast is key for me so many nights. I need to be more creative! :)
ReplyDeleteoh this looks divine.... definitely not Le Nonne, but delicious none-the-less.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I had a patient that served her mission in Italy and she was telling me that Le Nonne is real-deal, authentic italian. Can we go soon?
Looks delish!
