tonight ryan told me i had spunction.
(don't feel bad for not knowing what that means - he made it up!)
i think it was meant to be a sort of mixture of the words spunk & gumption.
and it communicated his meaning perfectly.
no clarification needed.
it reminded me so very much of that part in through the looking glass,
where alice reads the poem jabberwocky:
'twas brillig, and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
all mimsy were the borogoves,
and the mome raths outgrabe.
(last stanza only)
and responds:
"somehow it seems to fill my head with ideas - only i don't exactly know what they are!"
i think we're going to start making up more words around here,
for when we just can't find the right ones.
Hey... two things. What was that one word E made up during LOST? I can't remember, but it was fantastic. Also, my dad used to quote that poem alllll the time to me. Because, you see...I was his little Jabberwock. Funny, right? Yeppers. All the time... "Beware the jabberwock..." Whenever I'd get a story going. I'm pretty sure he loves me, though. And I'm pretty sure that he loves my story.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Ryan IS the sweetest one. Can he be tied with Penelope, except that she's really first? And he can be like first and a half? So like tied but different? Or maybe he could be the SECRET first one? Or something like that... Ba ha ha ha ha ha ha. Love and miss you!!!
