this was the soft dusky sunset that closed my 29th birthday.
(isn't it so beautiful that you just want to cry?)
it felt like an extraordinarily beautiful gift.
and, although words get in the way when i try to describe it,
made me feel anew how blessed i am.
and not just to witness something this remarkable,
but for all the daily mercies the Lord grants me, that i seem to so easily overlook.
until i am reminded just how substantial they are.
today it is fresh bread, and books, and clean laundry.
and my husband - always my husband.
